FeelFree offers you a day of trekking to one of the most emblematic peaks of the Basque country.
Aizkorri mountain, even without being the highest mountain of the area, is the most emblematic and part of a large limestone “mass” that stretches from east to west.
We will start climbing the Aizkorri mountain from the sanctuary of Arantzazu, which we will visit before starting the walk.
This Sanctuary, authentic symbol of Basque modern art will not leave us indifferent, both for its architecture and for the privileged place where it was built.
We will go up by the hardest route but also the most beautiful. It is a climb of about 800 meters, that will take us to a few places of unforgettable beauty.
At its summit, we will enjoy a well-deserved rest and take time to enjoy a previously prepared picnic, which we will carry in our backpacks.
Then you can choose to go down the slopes of St. Adrian, where the van will be waiting to pick you up, or go down from the same way, accompanied by the guide.
We recommend the first option to enjoy both sides of the mountain. The guide will give you the necessary information and a Walkie Talkie to be in contact at all times. This route will take us all day. Once we are down the hills, we will take the van back and return to Donostia / San Sebastian.
FeelFree will always offer you the chance to enjoy one of the gastronomic activities, either in a traditional gastronomy society in the city or a pintxo-tour through the most emblematic places of the Old Town.
